Trama
Ermutigt von ihrer Wahlfamilie, bestehend aus Shazzer, Jude und Tom, ihrer Arbeitskollegin Miranda, ihrer Mutter sowie ihrer Gynäkologin Dr. Rawlings, stürzt sich Bridget wieder in die Arbeit und beginnt, sich wieder mehr am Leben zu beteiligen. Beim Versuch, Beruf, Familie und Liebesleben unter einen Hut zu bringen, sieht sie sich bald mit allerlei Herausforderungen konfrontiert. So muss sie sich nicht nur gegen die Vorurteile der vermeintlich perfekten Mütter in der Schule behaupten, sondern auch mit den Avancen eines deutlich jüngeren Mannes umgehen und eine Reihe peinlicher Begegnungen mit dem überrationalen Naturwissenschaftslehrer ihres Sohnes überstehen. Doch Bridget Jones wäre nicht Bridget Jones, wenn sie all diese Hürden nicht auf chaotische, aber charmante Weise meistern würde.
