Trama
George Armstrong Custer absolviert die Militärschule West Point und nimmt am Bürgerkrieg teil. Als Kommandant des 7. Kavallerie-Regiments bewährt er sich in Dakota, sorgt für Frieden mit den Sioux: Kein Weißer werde ihr Gebiet in den Black Hills betreten. Eine Handelsgesellschaft durchkreuzt seine Politik, er wird suspendiert. Die Gesellschaft provoziert einen Aufstand der Krieger von Häuptling Crazy Horse. Custer wird wieder eingesetzt und reitet mit seinem Regiment am 25. Juni 1876 in die Schlacht am Little Big Horn, wo er und alle seine Leute fallen
