Sinopsis
Años cuarenta. Dos aristócratas ingleses recién casados se instalan en la colonia británica del Happy Valley, en Kenia, donde él tiene propiedades. Ella se enamora de un conde cínico y elegante con el que mantiene una apasionada relación. Mientras tanto, su marido parece soportar estoicamente la infidelidad de su bella mujer.
