Sinopsis
Theophilus North (Anthony Edwards) es un intelectual dedicado ahora al servicio social, por lo que visita diferentes mansiones donde hace las veces de lector para niños y personas mayores. Un día, animado por un chico, descubre que la fuerte energía que conserva en sus manos sirve para curar a Elspeth su hermanita... y pronto su fama se riega y los enfermos lo asedian en busca de que él les imponga sus manos. Como es de esperarse, el galeno del pueblo no está conforme con lo que sucede y entonces demandará sus servicios ante los estrados por considerarlos irregulares y peligrosos para sus intereses.
