Synopsis
David G. Stannard, un riche industriel, et son épouse Edith mènent une vie aisée et paisible jusqu'au jour où leur fils Andy, âgé de huit ans, est kidnappé contre une rançon de 500.000 dollars. D'abord résolu à payer, David convaincu qu'il encouragerait ainsi d'autres kidnappings, décide de ne pas céder et prend des mesures désespérées pour arracher son fils au kidnappeur...
