Synopsis
Sir Ernest Pease ( James Robertson Justice ) est un scientifique brillant mais acerbe travail sur la recherche de l' avion pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale . Il a besoin de faire un voyage sur un bombardier d'observer les résultats de son travail. Au début , le plan est de voler dans un RAF avion déguisé en officier de la RAF, mais quand on lui dit de se raser sa barbe , il refuse et obtient d'aller comme Royal Navy officier, comme la barbe sont autorisées dans la RN.
