Synopsis
Brenda est une mère célibataire qui vit à Chicago et qui essaye tant bien que mal d'éloigner ses enfants de la délinquance. Mais un jour elle reçoit une lettre qui lui annonce la mort de son père qu'elle n'a jamais rencontré. Desespérée, Brenda emmène sa famille en Géorgie pour les funérailles et fait la rencontre des Browns, la famille de son père, dans une petite ville où il fait bon vivre. Elle va y tomber amoureuse et cela va changer sa vie.
