Synopsis
Au cours des premières années d’indépendance de l'Inde, Steve Gibbs atterri avec son avion bourré d’armements dans la province Ghandahar espérant devenir riche. Le pacifique Premier ministre Singh espère parvenir à un accord avec Khan, le chef de la guérilla, le maharajah est un abruti et les résidents britanniques continuent de vivre comme par le passé. Steve s’intéresse avec amour à Joan Willoughby, la fille d'un pasteur aveugle.
