Synopsis
Prague, pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Hana Kaufmann, une ophtalmologue juive, épouse le Dr Antonín Bureš, un chrétien. Lorsque sa famille est envoyée dans le camp de concentration de Theresienstadt, leur romance se transforme en une lutte pour la survie.
