Synopsis
Marqué par la guerre, Bill Saunders traîne dans Londres, qui porte encore les traces des bombardements aériens. Un soir, au cours d'une bagarre, il tue malencontreusement un patron de bar. Il s'enfuit et trouve refuge chez une jeune femme, Jane Wharton. Celle-ci va l'aider à se cacher...
