Synopsis
Scott Hanson, shérif dans la petite ville de Brazos Springs, rapatrie un vieil homme blessé à l'hôpital où il est pris en charge par sa sœur, Beth. Déçue par les méthodes de son cabinet d'avocats, Sarah Walker quitte Detroit et retourne à Brazos Springs où elle va s'occuper du vieil homme. Alors qu'il prétend être le Père Noël, une famille porte plainte contre lui pour s'être approché de leur fille, décédée depuis d'un cancer. L'avocat de la partie adverse veut le mettre dans une institution psychiatrique contre l'avis de Sarah et de Beth qui croient en son histoire de Père Noël...
