Le petit-fils de l'homme invisible coulait des jours paisibles à New-York jusqu'à ce qu'un agent allemand, épaulé par un confrère nippon, fasse irruption dans sa vie, espérant lui arracher le secret de l'invisibilité. Il se met alors au service des Alliés. Parachuté sur Berlin, il a pour mission d'aider au démantèlement d'un réseau d'espions infiltrés aux États-Unis.
