Synopsis
Hollywood, années 30. La vedette Frances Farmer scandalise par son anti-conformisme : voyage à Moscou, de multiples liaisons, et un penchant pour l'alcool et la drogue. Comédienne de talent, elle connaît la gloire mais Hollywood va s'acharner à briser sa carrière en l'enfermant dans des rôles de second plan. Sa mère décide de la faire interner.
