Trama
En 1892, un légendaire capitaine de l'armée américaine accepte à contrecœur d'escorter un chef de guerre Cheyenne et sa famille, désireuses de retourner sur leurs terres tribales. Sur le chemin, qui va les emmener du Nouveau Mexique au Montana, ils doivent faire preuve de solidarité pour survivre à l'environnement et aux tribus Comanche qu'ils rencontrent, en compagnie d'une veuve dont la famille a été assassinée.
