Synopsis
Lilah Krytsick est une mère et femme au foyer qui elle croit toujours pourrait être un comédien stand-up. Steven Gold est un stand-up expérimenté qui semble sur le point de succès. Quand les deux se rencontrent, ils forment une amitié improbable, et Steven essaie d'aider l'Lilah non essayé de développer son acte de scène. Malgré les objections de sa famille et des débuts très bancal, Lilah améliore, et bientôt elle se retrouve en concurrence avec Steven pour un spot télévisé très convoité.
