Synopsis
Garnet Hadley, médecin dans une petite ville, est veuve depuis bientôt deux ans, mais ne peut toujours pas oublier son mari Michael, dont elle était tellement amoureuse. Malgré les efforts de son beau-père pour lui faire rencontrer un célibataire de bonne famille, Garnet fait la sourde oreille. Il la met alors au défi de l'accompagner à une soirée. La jeune femme fait appel à une agence pour lui fournir le cavalier idéal.
