Synopsis
Un collectionneur excentrique possède les tableaux du peintre Frédéric Tonnerre, étrangement tombé dans l'oubli. Il reste cependant persuadé qu'il lui manque une des toiles du maître déchu. Il s'efforce de prouver son raisonnement en décryptant les toiles du peintre, afin de percer le mystère de ce tableau manquant, et par cette hypothèse du tableau volé, découvrir la raison du scandale que les tableaux provoquèrent en leur temps.
