Synopsis
Jonas Candine, bourreau "optimiste" est apprécié pour sa compétence. Ce matin-là, il doit exécuter la première femme, Gundred, mais son frère doit être exécuté avant! Jonas visite Gundred avant le moment fatal, qui obtient de lui un ajournement d’exécution. Il sacrifie sa chaise mais cela ne dure que peu de temps. Jonas tente de soudoyer le docteur de la prison afin de "ressusciter" Gundred après son passage sur la chaise électrique...
