Synopsis
En 1977, aux USA, le député Ron Dellums et ses trois enfants, Piper, Brandy et Erik, se réjouissent à l'idée d'accueillir, dans le cadre d’un séjour d’échange scolaire, Mahree une jeune Sud-Africaine. Dès la descente d’avion, ils sont vite surpris de découvrir que l’adolescente est blanche tandis que cette dernière l’est plus encore quand elle se rend compte que ses hôtes sont noirs ; elle qui vient d’un pays où l'apartheid régit les rapports humains...
