Synopsis
A la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, un jeune GI juste démobilisé et encore traumatisé parcourt les routes américaines comme représentant en chocolat. Dans un bus, il rencontre Victoria qui revient dans sa famille. Elle est enceinte et a peur d'affronter un père dominateur. Elle demande à Paul de l'accompagner et de jouer le rôle du mari, le temps d'une journée.
