In un piccolo villaggio americano, all’improvviso tutti si addormentano e mesi dopo le donne partoriscono bambini con le stesse caratteristiche, che li rendono ben presto oggetto di preoccupazione e paura. Il dottor Alan Chaffee (Christopher Reeve) cerca di capire chi siano veramente.
