Trama
Tom Martin si è arruolato come volontario tra le truppe che in Spagna combattono contro Franco. Catturato, è condannato a morte ma si salva per l'intervento di Christine, una corrispondente di guerra che si spaccia per sua moglie e ottiene la grazia. Scoperti, i due fuggono in Francia e qui si dividono ancora: è infatti scoppiata la guerra e Tom si arruola come volontario mentre Christine riprende la sua attività di giornalista. Si riuniranno quando Tom viene ferito e Christine rinuncia definitivamente al fronte. Commedia di guerra con chiari intenti di propaganda, momenti drammatici e molti intermezzi divertenti.
