Trama
John Howard è un cantante ormai in declino, anche per colpa dell'alcol e delle droghe. Scopre che una giovane collega, Esther, ha tutte le carte in regola per sfondare: prima la sposa e poi la lancia nel mondo dello spettacolo. Salvo poi invidiare il suo successo e cercare di ostacolarla. Quando lui muore in un incidente d'auto, rimarrà lei a ricordarlo nelle sue canzoni.
