Trama
Prima metà del Novecento: A Greentown, piccolo paese del Midwest, durante una ventosa notte d'Ottobre pianta le tende la misteriosa Fiera delle Meraviglie di Mr. Dark (Jonathan Pryce). In essa i sogni proibiti degli abitanti della cittadina potranno diventare realtà, ma a quale prezzo? Due ragazzini, Will Halloway (Vidal Peterson) e Jim Nightshade (Shawn Carson), inseparabili amici per la pelle che coltivano aspirazioni e desideri, prima fra tutte la voglia di crescere, e Charles Halloway (Jason Robards), padre di Will stanco della vita, tenteranno di porre fine alle insidiose lusinghe di Mr. Dark...
