Trama
Un sottomarino atomico guidato dal comandante Pete Mathews (Kenneth Tobey) si imbatte in qualcosa di grosso mentre sta facendo manovre nell’Oceano Pacifico. La professoressa Lesley Joyce (Faith Domergue) e il professor John Carter (Donald Curtis) sono incaricati di investigare. Quello che scoprono è una piovra gigantesca, diretta a San Francisco, dove arriva con tutte le intenzioni di devastare la città.
