Trama
Nel 1942, gli Stati Uniti devono contrattaccare per rispondere alla conquista nipponica della supremazia nel Pacifico. È MacArthur a dimostrarne la possibilità e a condurre poi le operazioni. Dopo la guerra, in contrasto con le alte sfere si prodiga per la rinascita del Giappone e, in seguito, per l'attacco diretto alla Corea del Nord. Opportunità politiche ne determinano però il definitivo siluramento.
