Trama
Medina si trasferisce con la sua famiglia in "Paradise" a Palos Verdes, in California, dove insieme iniziano una vita apparentemente nuova e felice. Quando il matrimonio tra i genitori di Medina sembra giungere al termine, sua madre finisce in una spirale emotiva negativa e il fratello gemello di Medina, Jim, inizia a fare uso di droghe. Medina è al centro di tutto e deve agire come riferimento stabile all'interno della famiglia. Trova rifugio nel surf.
