Trama
Il giovane Chance, per raggiungere il successo, vive con Alexandra, diva sul viale del tramonto. Per lei ha abbandonato una donna più giovane e innamorata di lui, che tempo prima era rimasta incinta e aveva abortito. Chance, pur di ottenere un ruolo cinematografico, sopporta i capricci della sua protettrice. Costei, riconquistato il successo, lo abbandona.
