Trama
Dopo la scomparsa dell'ispettore Clouseau, il folle commissario Charles Dreyfus, l'eterno rivale di Clouseau, incarica l'imbranatissimo sergente Clifton Sleigh di New York, per indagare sulla scomparsa del celebre diamante del Lugash "Pantera Rosa". Il sergente Sleigh indaga fra Parigi, Costa Azzurra, Lugash e Spagna, arrivando alla conclusione che Clouseau è morto realmente e il diamante è introvabile. In realtà il diamante è tenuto nascosto da Clouseau che ora è in combutta con una ladra e si è sottoposto ad un'operazione chirurgica che gli ha donato le sembianze di Roger Moore. Ma il diamante sparisce e rimane un guanto firmato da "Il fantasma".
