Trama
Disavventure di un cow-boy che non accetta i cambiamenti sociali in atto, col conseguente declino del mito della frontiera e degli ideali della Vecchia America. Anacronistico e disadattato, l'uomo vaga senza una meta, finché non finisce in prigione. Riuscito a fuggire, si rifugia in Messico. Parabola triste sulla fine di un mondo e riflessione amara sulla decadenza della figura del cow-boy. Si può leggere in filigrana la storia dello sceneggiatore Dalton Trumbo, finito sulla lista nera per le sue idee politiche. Tratto dal romanzo di Edward Abbey, The Brave Cowboy.
