Trama
La giovane e ambiziosa Martha (Bel Geddes) diventa indossatrice nella speranza di sposare un uomo bello e ricco. Diventa la moglie del miliardario Smith Ohlrig (Ryan), ma la vita coniugale è un inferno, tanto che lei fugge e si impiega presso il modesto ambulatorio del dottor Larry Quinada (Mason).
