Trama
Peter Carter, il preside in una piccola città della provincia canadese, denuncia le pericolose libertà che si prende con le bambine un anziano industriale, Oldberry. Inizialmente il caso viene messo a tacere perché Oldberry è potente, e chi anzi ne fa le spese è Peter, che deve dare le dimissioni. Poi una nuova violenza da parte del vecchio dimostra inoppugnabilmente la sua colpevolezza.
