Trama
Ambientato in una piccola città del Texas, la storia segue un impresario di pompe funebri, Bernie (Black), che inizia un'amicizia improbabile con una vedova ricca ma molto particolare (MacLaine). Quando lui la uccide, fa di tutto per mantenere l'illusione che lei sia ancora viva.
