Plot
Between 1975 and 1978, Denmark's first giant wind turbine was built at the Tvind schools near Ulfborg. At 75 meters, it was also the world's tallest wind turbine. Politicians began discussing nuclear power in the wake of the 1973 oil crisis, but the Tvind community embraced the idea of renewable energy. On April 26, 1978, the turbine began producing electricity. The film shows how the work was organized and carried out and lets the Tvind people themselves explain why they chose wind as their energy source.
