Plot
On an island in the Mediterranean, at the height of summer, thirteen-year-old Agostino discovers that he has suddenly grown up. Amidst scorching beaches and murky waters, he experiences a summer that pushes him beyond the boundaries of innocence. The discovery of his body and his identity become a sensory inner journey, further shaped by his relationship with his mother, a forty-year-old widow who is still quite attractive. In an emotional chiaroscuro, Agostino faces his first painful metamorphosis into adulthood.
