The Congo Basin, the world’s second-largest rainforest, is a sanctuary for endangered species - but tracking them in its dense wilderness is no easy task. How do we protect what we can’t see? Eyes on the Forest showcases how camera traps are revolutionizing conservation efforts in the Mai Ndombe REDD+ Project. These discreet, infrared-powered tools capture rare footage of elusive animals and provide invaluable data on species’ movements, behaviors, and habitats. They also help eco-guards combat poaching and safeguard biodiversity in this 300,000-hectare swamp forest and wetland.
