Plot
“Kulechov’s things” is an experimental short film inspired by L.V. Kulechov, in which we try to put the elasticity of MONTAGE to the test in order to reflect on the fragility and veracity of what we see and hear.Film editing serves as a metaphor for the most unjustified and cruel type of montage: WAR. Travelling through the landscape, customs and current situation in Galicia, we present a fictitious armed conflict in which an invading army attacks the Galician coastline. Thus we have created a “mock documentary” in which thewartime fleet is played by the mussel beds cultivated on rafts in the inlets, the attack on the beaches is represented by the shellfish collectors as they work along the shore, the bombs are the firecrackers and rockets launched duringfestivals, etc..
