Plot
Based on an act of vandalism by artist Alexander Brener, the film tells the story of an event that shocked the conscience of enlightened Europe: Brener painted a green dollar sign on Kazimir Malevich’s "White Cross." While Brener’s action sparked fierce debates among art critics and legal experts, the filmmakers declare the “joint” symbol of Brener and Malevich a cult icon of 1998.
