Plot
In the 1990s, Tuan is a Thai-Chinese man who comes home to Mae Salong from Taiwan to find the village headman has been killed – and that he is expected to fill the role. A romance develops with Orn, a newly arrived schoolteacher, while the shadow of the Golden Triangle’s opium trade and its attendant corruption closes in around them.
