Plot
Before being called Romanès, Alexandre was known as Bouglione. One day, he slammed the door on the family circus: "too big, too many tents, too many trucks, it was more humane." Twenty years later, he met "the terrible" Délia, a Romanian gypsy who speaks and sings in Romani. With her, he had five children, including four daughters, whom he taught acrobatics, contortion, and juggling, and he started a small circus, which he named Romanès, a gypsy circus. This family, led by a poet, this clan of traveling acrobats and musicians, is determined to preserve what matters most to them: the right to be nomadic and free. A difficult struggle in these times...
