Plot
Leila and Maria. Two women as symbols of Cyprus. Turkish Cypriot Leila’s husband is missing; Greek Cypriot Maria is a refugee. Their love eliminates the hatred of war. Their common tears nourish hope on both sides of the barbed wire. Their story lies in the heart of this documentary inspired by Leila’s book The White Wet Handkerchief We Shared.
