Plot
The Dispossessed was the winner of the 1971 “Grand Award” at the Foothill Film Festival. It is a brilliant film and a must for anyone who is preoccupied with the death-producing consequences of monopoly capitalism and the life-generating qualities of the new Indian resistance. Next year, I plan to show the film in a course on the subject of political anthropology. - SHELTON H. DAVIS
