Plot
A profile on the benefits of communal dining at work reveals the ambivalent emancipatory dimension of company canteens. Experts supervise the composition of the menu and the hygienic conditions during food preparation so that female employees do not have to spend hours at the stove. Instead, they can take on routine and lower-paid jobs after men who are moving on to more important activities.
