Lukas Podolski is a German former professional footballer who played as a forward. He was born on June 4, 1985, in Gliwice, Poland. He began his professional career with 1. FC Köln and later played for Bayern Munich. In 2012, he joined Arsenal, where he made over 80 appearances and won the FA Cup in the 2013–14 season.
