Biography

Asanka Wickramasiri is a dedicated and dynamic professional in Sri Lanka’s film industry, specializing in post-production with expertise in editing, color grading, and visual storytelling. His diverse portfolio includes feature films, commercials, television dramas, short films, music videos, and documentaries, reflecting his versatility, artistic vision, and commitment to excellence. He began his professional journey in 2016 as an editor at Magic Lantern (PVT) Ltd, where he honed his technical skills and developed a strong foundation in visual arts and post-production. Over the years, Asanka evolved into a highly regarded colorist, earning recognition for his distinctive visual style and impactful contributions to the craft. Despite his relatively young age, his work has received both local and international acclaim, leaving a lasting impression on audiences and industry professionals alike. Academically, Asanka holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Psychology and Counseling from KITT University, India. To further strengthen his technical expertise, he completed a Diploma in DI Color Grading from DaVinci Media College in Bangalore, India. He is also a Certified User in Color Grading with DaVinci Resolve 18 and holds certification for the Editor’s Guide to DaVinci Resolve 18, both awarded by Blackmagic Design. Driven by a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, Asanka continuously strives to push creative boundaries and contribute meaningfully to the evolving world of visual media.
