Samuel Döring

Biography

Samuel Döring (they/he) is a German-French film director, producer and editor based in Berlin. Their short film debut ORGY EVERY OTHER DAY (2024) has screened at more than 40 international festivals – including Hot Docs, Frameline, Guanajuato IFF, DOC NYC, Mix Brasil and Go Short – as well as in exhibition contexts and film-studies conferences. Sam studied Media and Film Studies and Documentary Film in Weimar, Paris, and New York, supported by the Fulbright Program and the Deutschlandstipendium. They moderate panels and Q&As at DOK Leipzig, where they previously served as a program coordinator. Sam is an alum of the PREMIERE Program (hosted by German Films and Unifrance) and of Vienna Shorts Talents.
