Arshad Ahmed is a 16-year-old filmmaker and writer whose work explores the emotional, moral, and psychological depth of human life. Guided by a strong sense of realism and philosophical thought, his films often reflect on love, faith, violence, and the fragile boundaries between innocence and guilt. Beginning his creative journey at a young age, Arshad has directed three short films — Sathya , iraivi and Red Blood Roses — each earning recognition for their mature storytelling and distinct visual tone. His latest film, Red Blood Roses, is a psychological drama that examines the conflict between belief and obsession, positioning Arshad as one of the most promising young voices in contemporary Tamil indie cinema. Arshad’s artistic ideology centers on portraying truth in its rawest form. He believes cinema must challenge comfort, provoke reflection, and serve as a mirror to the inner struggles of humanity. Through his films, he seeks to build a body of work that is emotionally intense, thought-driven, and socially reflective — cinema that speaks to both the heart and the conscience.
