Melanya Hamasyan

Biography

Director and screenwriter from Gyumri. He graduated from FAMU, the Film and Television School of the Prague Academy of Performing Arts, with a Master's degree in film directing. Before going into film, she studied photography and public art at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she received her bachelor's degree. His documentary and fiction works often have a heterogeneous style and genre, which makes the boundaries more and more blurred. Thematically, Amasyan's films explore another frontier, namely how people relate and adapt their everyday reality to the subconscious, immersing themselves in the elusive but expressive landscapes of dreams, memories and beliefs.
