Isaac Ruíz is a Mexican cinematographer from El Retiro in Guadalajara. He grew up shaped by punk influences and a strong countercultural sensibility—elements that continue to inform his visual approach. He conceives the image as confrontation and experience. His work explores the tension between beauty and disturbance, using light as an emotional force rather than a merely technical tool. Each frame seeks intensity, risk, and a visual identity that doesn’t ask for permission.
