Synopsis
Peter Morgan, un jeune et séduisant universitaire, se rend à New-York pour un bref séjour. Il y rencontre Frances, une chanteuse de night-club, dont il tombe immédiatement amoureux et qu'il épouse. Cependant, une fois de retour dans sa petite ville, il ne peut se résoudre à annoncer son mariage à sa famille...
